First off I want to say I love the ethos of this company. And American made. I live in Marquette Mi and have snowshoes that have hundreds of miles on them. When they finally gave out I started looking at Redfeather. I had heard of them through others that have some of their snowshoes. I ended up buying the Alpine snowshoes and have used them multiple times throughout this insane winter. Here are three reasons I love these snowshoes.
1. The construction is top quality. They are built to be an aggressive snowshoe and they do not disappoint.
2. The binding is the most secure binding I have ever used. I think it could be tweaked but it holds the foot amazing in deep powder.
3. Did I mention this company is awesome in the mission they are trying to accomplish. And American made.
Another mention. I have been looking for new bindings for my old snowshoes. (Atlas). You used to be able to repair those. Not anymore. Redfeather sells a replacement binding that will work for this application. Buy the binding and new front crampon to renew those old Atlas snowshoes.
I haven't been on the shoes yet plan so within a week. I have heard good things about your products and they appear solid. I like the bindings. I down sized from 8 pr.of shoes to 4 of which 2 are wll hangers. I no longer guide and my kids and G'kids have their own. I researched your company and liked your boats. Once had a " fleet " of Hornbecks made here in the Adirondacks, down sized to 1 boat, 12 ft, 18 lb. Impressed with your company, similar to a company in Essex NY south of me. We finally have winter ! Thanks
